This art print of Stirling Castle holds a special place in my heart as an artist. I wanted to capture not just the physical structure, but the feeling of awe it inspires, standing as a timeless sentinel over the Scottish countryside.
I imagined the way the light shifts as dusk falls, casting long shadows and transforming the landscape into something almost otherworldly. The blend of maroons and violets and greens seemed to me to perfectly evoke the drama of Stirling Castle at twilight – its silhouette stark against the soft glow of the sky, and the hills around it slowly fading into shadow.
As an artist, I wanted to infuse the print with a sense of history, but also with a touch of the modern. I love how the soft pastel colours bring new life to a subject so rich in heritage.
