As the artist, I wanted to capture the exotic and vibrant spirit of the Glasgow Botanic Gardens, and particularly the iconic Victorian glasshouse, which has always felt like a magical spot in the city. The colours I’ve chosen—golden, ochre, brown, and earthy tones—are inspired by the soft, warm glow that wraps the glasshouse as the setting sun pours through the panes. This moment, where the sun's rays flood the glass structure and transform everything around it into rich golden hues, is one of quiet wonder, where time seems to stand still.
